Tonight my family stumbled upon Fishook Grille (yep only one ‘h’) in Roswell. This was not our destination but after visiting three restaurants with waits longer than 30 min, a hungry (read GRUMPY) husband, and two kids that were about to fall asleep we decided we better just head in here. What a lucky find! Good food with fast and friendly service. The cost was a bit more than we were expecting but that’s normal these days.
I had the Beef Tenderloin Salad – $8.99
Gorgonzola Bleu Cheese, Sunflower Seeds, Cranberries, Apples, Carrots, Diced Cucumbers, Red Onions and Mixed Bell Peppers tossed in Raspberry-Ginger Vinaigrette served over a bed of Romaine Lettuce.
There was enough to share with the others! I also only used half the dressing.
My husband had the Taco Combo and had one of each – $8.99
Tacos described as Mildly Spiced with Citrus Piri Piri and FISHOOK Sauces, served in Soft Flour Tortillas, topped with Asian Slaw. The dish comes with one “Entrée Side” and he picked Black Bean and Corn Salsa.
His thought: Certainly filling. Loved the Black Bean and Corn Salsa. The Asian Slaw was a bit over powering and not sure how much “meat” was in the taco. Each taco had a similar taste to one another so a bit more variety would have been nice. The tacos were: Tilapia, Baby Shrimp and Piri Piri Chicken.
The girls had the children plates – $4.99 each. One had Chicken Tenders with Grilled Zucchini on the side. The other had Crispy Fish Nuggets with Sweet Potato Fries w/ Roasted Garlic Aioli. Each came with a cookie and a juice. Pretty basic kids stuff. The fries were good!
We really loved the toys they have for kids. Good idea Fishook Grille! The girls certainly enjoyed playing them. There are several TVs on different channels and that was nice. One lady was in there eating and reading, a few couples, and the rest were parent / kid combos.
Overall really enjoyed eating here. Not sure if we’ll be back. They do have one of those text coupon services so we’ll see what offers we get. With a good offer this place will certainly be back on our list of places to dine!
