University of Mississippi Football Game

Two weeks ago we visited Ole Miss for the first time.  We had a great time!  We arrived mid-morning for a 7pm game time.  We parked at the Ford Center which was a little pricey, but the location was great and the parking guys even let us leave and come back.   We walked up to the town square which is quite cute.  Oxford is a great little town.  We ventured out for some BBQ at a great place called Handy Andy Groc. and Mkt. Bar B Q.  I have to say the BBQ was outstanding and the sweet tea too.  After lunch we headed back to see the Grove in action.  The Grove is a ten-acre tailgating expanse.  It sits near the center of campus and is filled with oak trees and tailgate tents after tailgate tents.  Southern Hospitality in full force.  Lots of friendly Rebel fans.  We heard lots of the Hotty Toddy cheer.  Here is the famous cheer:

Hell yes! Damn Right! Hotty Toddy, Gosh Almighty Who the Hell Are WE?  Hey Flim Fam Bim Bam Olde Miss By Damn!!!

We then headed to the Walk of Champions to see the team arrive before game time.  We had a lot of fun watching the team arrive and then they walked down through the Grove.  We managed to shake a few hands and then we listened to the band and a huge crowd play the Hotty Toddy Cheer.  We also met some cheerleaders.  After all that excitement we headed to the stadium.  We had great seats and sat next to family with a 5 year old and the kids had fun together.  We saw a great game and Ole Miss came out with a victory.
