Lighted BEVOS

A week ago my mother and father in-law drove all the way from Texas to hand deliver a very special gift for me.  Last Christmas we went to Texas and one of our favorite things to do is drive around at night and see all the lights.  Well…on our drive we spotted something so unique and I knew just then that I had to have this for our yard.  We have become a popular place during football season and Christmas.  We have a large blow up Hook ’em and a very large Santa Claus.  At times we get knocks on the door from people that want to have their picture with our Santa.  Hook ’em always gets attention from the kids because we live in Georgia – DAWG Country so Hook ’em is kind of cool to the kids.  Somehow with all the houses in our neighborhood we had a neighbor on one side move in that are SOONERS and soon after that another neighbor on the other side moved in and he is an AGGIE.  So we have the perfect location for these burnt orange glowing longhorns.

The two Bevos were purchased at Wyatt’s Nursery, 6302 U.S. 290 in Austin.  I searched high and low for these longhorns.  You can only find them at Wyatt’s Nursery and they do not ship them.  The only way to get these is by going to Wyatt’s and don’t be surprised if there is a waiting list.  Also you might want to purchase some chains because they are popular for theft.

Owner Blondie Wyatt claims the Bevos are “the ultimate thing to have for Christmas. Everyone is thrilled to have a lit longhorn.”

She customizes the Bevos’ lights for white bodies with orange or gold horns, or orange bodies with white horns (the large, $199.95, has a total of 600 lights; the small, $129.95, about 400).
